Problemas de comportamento nas crianças: decorrência de práticas parentais desadequadas?

Abstract

O trabalho apresentado tem como principal objetivo investigar se as famílias sinalizadas no sistema de promoção e proteção correspondem a crianças com mais problemas de comportamento e, consequentemente, a práticas educativas de maior risco. Para isso, analisou-se 53 famílias divididas em dois grupos e averiguar se estas diferem quanto às práticas parentais e problemas de comportamento: famílias com pelo menos um filho com processo de promoção e proteção aplicado judicialmente, e beneficiárias do Rendimento Social de Inserção (Grupo A) e famílias cujos filhos nunca registaram processos de promoção e proteção e que beneficiam igualmente do Rendimento Social de Inserção (Grupo B). Para a prossecução destes objetivos, adotou-se uma metodologia de investigação quantitativa, recorrendo à estatística inferencial. Foram utilizados os intrumentos Adult- Adolescent Parenting Inventory (AAPI-2) para avaliar as práticas parentais e o Questionário de Comportamento da Criança (CBCL 6-18) para os problemas de comportamento. De uma forma geral, os resultados mostraram não existirem diferenças no que diz respeito às práticas parentais e aos problemas de comportamento entre os grupos.
