Postmodernite bağlamında gezgin kültürünün sosyolojik bir analizi

Abstract

In this study, it is aimed to reveal the motivations that pushed postmodern period travelers to this lifestyle and their transforming lives. In order to achieve this goal, interviews were conducted with travelers to understand the environment they grew up with, their current lifestyles and travel styles. In the first part of the study, the subject, importance, limitations and method of the research are included. In the second part of the study, the concepts of modernity and postmodernity are emphasized. In the third part of the study, through modern and postmodern period dynamics; Support was received from the concepts of culture, profession, consumption, lifestyle and daily life. In the fourth part of the study, the travel reasons of travelers before and after the Industrial Revolution are discussed with examples. The answers given to the questions posed in the last part of the study were interpreted in connection with the subjects covered in the theoretical part of the study.

Bu çalışmada, postmodern dönem gezginlerini bu yaşam tarzına iten motivasyonları ve dönüşen hayatlarını ortaya koymak hedeflenmiştir. Bu hedefi gerçekleştirmek için gezgin bireylerle yetiştikleri ortamı, şu andaki yaşam tarzlarını ve seyahat biçimlerini anlamaya yönelik görüşmeler yapılmıştır. Çalışmanın ilk bölümünde araştırmanın konusu, önemi, sınırlılıkları ve yöntemine yer verilmiştir. Çalışmanın ikinci bölümünde ise modernite ve postmodernite kavramları üzerinde durulmuştur. Çalışmanın üçüncü bölümünde modern ve postmodern dönem dinamikleri vasıtasıyla; kültür, meslek, tüketim, yaşam tarzı ve gündelik hayat kavramlarından destek alınmıştır. Çalışmanın dördüncü bölümünde ise Sanayi Devrimi öncesi ve sonrasında gezginlerin seyahat etme nedenleri örneklerle ele alınmıştır. Çalışmanın son bölümünde yöneltilen sorulara verilen cevaplar, çalışmanın teorik kısmında işlenen konularla bağlantı kurularak yorumlanmıştır.
