Yeni roman: Savaşın edebiyata yansımaları-Hiroşima sevgilim üzerine bir inceleme

Abstract

II. II. Dünya Savaşı sonrası neredeyse tüm dünya devletleri güç yarışına girmiş ve bu durum küresel dengelerin bozulmasına neden olmuştur. II. Dünya Savaşı; ortaya çıkardığı ekonomik, siyasi ve askeri bunalım ve çalkantıların yanı sıra, insanların ruhsal durumları üzerinde de olumsuz etkiler yaratmıştır. Şüphesiz sanatta her akım ve yenilik döneminin toplumsal koşullarından etkilenmek, sanatçı da yaşadığı dönemin toplumsal koşullarına tanıklık etmek durumundadır. II. Dünya Savaşı\"nın edebiyat üzerindeki etkisine özellikle Yeni Roman’da rastlamaktayız. Yeni Roman, II. Dünya Savaşı’nın olumsuz koşullarından etkilenen bireyleri, kendi iç dünyalarına hapseden umutsuzluk, güvensizlik, kaygı, belirsizlik, endişe, yabancılaşma gibi duygulardan beslenmiştir. Çalışmada Yeni Roman’ın özelliklerinden yararlanarak, II. Dünya Savaşı’nın ortaya çıkardığı toplumsal koşulların Yeni Roman’a etkisi, bu koşulların etkisiyle dönüşen bireyin Yeni Roman’daki temsili ele alınacak; Marguerite Duras’ın Hiroşima Sevgilim eseri üzerinden savaşın etkisi ile dönüşen bireyin nasıl temsil edildiği incelenecektir

Cold War period and deep frustration after the World War II introduced one of the most powerful and important movements of literature history, as to be called, New Novel. Power search of almost every state in the world after World War II created a blurred global view. Besides economic, political and military conflicts and upheavals, the war also changed people’s mental health in a way never even been thought before. Moreover, every movement and innovation is meant to be a part of, and integratedwithin the societal conditions of its period, not to mention the artist. Influence of WorldWar II on literature can easily be observed in New Novel movement, which, was forgedby despair, insecurity, anxiety, uncertainty, and alienation that imprisoned individuals intheir own war-created inner worlds. This paper tries to reveal some outstanding points ofWorld War II influence on New Novel along with representations of evolved-by-warindividual in New Novel using principles of New Novel movement through addressinghow evolved individuals are represented.
