DİNDARLIK GÖSTERGESİ OLARAK DİL/DİL DİNDARLIĞI

Abstract

Language, as a social and cultural phenomenon, is closely related to religion which is spiritual element of culture and basic social institutions. It playes an affective role in theoretical, practical and sociological aspects of religion; beliefs are revealed through language and language is used during religious rituals and again, people who have the same beliefs communicate with one another by help of language. Relation between language and religion is clearly observed in everyday life. Do words, expressions and phrases which have religious context have a relation with religiosity that is briefly described as experienced religion? To what extent this is related to cultural religiosity, social influence and obedience and linguistic habits (habitus)? That article tires to answer those questions.
