Abstract

The visually impaired people face many problems in their daily lives. Especially in big cities, infrastructure works done by municipalities and private companies sometimes affect the lives of the visually impaired people in the negative direction. In this study; The current location is detected using the GPS feature of mobile devices with the Android operating system that are becoming increasingly popular due to the fact that everyday life is greatly facilitated, the marked coordinates of the infrastructure and construction works are taken via web services on the internet. It is aimed to develop a mobile program that warns the visually impaired individuals according to the distance of the device from these coordinates

Görme engelli bireyler, gündelik yaşamlarında birçok problemle karşılaşmaktadırlar. Özellikle büyük şehirlerde olmak üzere belediyeler ve özel şirketler tarafından yapılan alt yapı çalışmaları görme engelli bireylerin hayatlarını zaman zaman olumsuz yönde etkilemektedir. Bu çalışmada; gündelik hayatı büyük ölçüde kolaylaştırması sebebiyle gittikçe yaygınlaşan Android işletim sistemine sahip mobil cihazların GPS özelliği kullanılarak mevcut konumu algılanıp, internet üzerinden web servisler vasıtasıyla alt yapı ve inşaat çalışmalarının yapıldığı işaretli koordinatlar alınmaktadır. Cihazın bu koordinatlara olan uzaklığına göre görme engelli bireyleri uyaran bir mobil program geliştirilmesi amaçlanmıştır
