Abstract

This thesis consists of an introduction and two chapters. The Introduction deals withRumi?s life, works, thoughts and the history of Mawlavism from the beginning to the present.In the first chapter the researcher discusses prophecy, which is one of the three main themesof the science of Kalam, under the following subtitles: main concepts of prophecy, man?sneed for a prophet, main characteristics of the prophets, finality of prophecy in Muhammad(a.s.), ranks among the prophets. In the second chapter the researcher discusses Rumi?s viewson rational possibility of prophecy, the relationship between prophecy and miracles, therelationship between miracles and natural laws, the necessity of believing in the prophecy,and the relationship between prophecy and sainthood.

`Mevlânâ Celâleddîn-i Rûmî'de nübüvvet' adlı bu tez giriş ve iki bölümdenoluşmaktadır. Giriş bölümünde Mevlânâ'nın hayatı, eserleri, düşünce sistemi vebaşlangıcından günümüze Mevlevîlik işlenmiştir. Birinci bölümde Kelâm biliminin üç anakonusundan biri olan nübüvvet, nübüvvetle ilgili temel kavramlar, insanların peygamberlereolan ihtiyacı, peygamberlerin özellikleri, Hz. Muhammed'in son peygamber oluşu,peygamberlerin dereceleri, gibi başlıklar altında ele alınıp incelenmiştir. İkinci bölümdenübüvvetin aklen imkânı, nübüvvet mucize ilişkisi, mucize tabiat kanunları ilişkisi,peygamberlere iman etmenin ve uymanın gerekliliği nübüvvet velâyet ilişkisi gibi konularhakkında Mevlânâ'nın görüşleri ele alınıp incelenmiştir.
