Din Sosyolojisi Acisindan AB Bekletileri adli cali§mamizda Avrupa Birligi'ne katilmaya cali§an Tiirkiye'nin Avrupa Birligi ile olan din eksenindeki ili§kilerini incelemeye cali§tik. £ali§mamizin birinci boliimunde Avrupa Birligi'nin tarihcesi ba§ligi altinda birlik fikrinin olu§masini, kurumlanni, hukuki yapisini ve hukuki olarak uluslararasi toplumda nasil bir yere konumlandigmi; Avrupa Birligi ba§ligi altinda birligin yapilanmasini if i§levlerini nasil yerine getirdigini, orgutlenme bicimini, kurulu§lanni ve kurulu§lannin i§leyi§lerini ara§tirdik. Ayni boliimde aynca Avrupa Birligi Turkiye ili§kilerinin tarihcesini ele aldik. ikinci boliimde Avrupa Birligi siirecinde Tiirkiye'de din konusunu Turk Kiiltiirii, Avrupa Kiiltiirii ve Avrupa Birligi'nin din konusundaki `ama` Ian acilanndan degerlendirdik. Yine ikinci boliimde Avrupa'daki ve Turkiye'deki din egitiminin kar§ila§tirmasini yaptik ve Avrupa Birligi'nin laiklik anlayi§ini anlamaya cali§tik. ikinci boliimde aynca Kiireselle§me ve Degerler £ati§masi konusunu tezimizi ilgilendiren yonleriyle ele aldik. Uciincii boliimde Avrupa Birligi - Turkiye miizakere siireci icin tarih verilen 9 Eyliil 2004 tarihi cercevesinde olu§an tarti§malan Tiirk basinindaki yansimalanyla ele aldik. Tezimizin yaptigimiz cali§malar sonucunda ula§tigimiz noktayi sonuc boliimiinde ifade ettik.

In this thesis named The EU Expectations In Terms Of Religion Sociology, we try to study the religion based relations between Turkey, that is on the way of accessing to the Union, and EU. In chapter 1 , we research the idea of union, the institutions, the legal structure, the legal position in the international community, under the title `the history of EU`, and research the structure of EU, how to implement Its internal functions, the form of organization, the establishments and their functions under the title `European Union`. Besides we mention the history of the relations between EU and Turkey. In the chapter 2, we evaluate the religion in Turkey, in the process of EU, in terms of both Turkish Culture and European Culture and also the `BUT`s of EU on the topic of religion. We compare the religion educations in Europe and Turkey and we try to comprehend the secularism understanding. We touch on Globalisation and Conflicts of Values with the aspects related to our thesis. In the chapter 3, we investigate the reflections of the discussions raised around the date, September 9, 2004 given by EU for Negotiating Framework. In the conclusion, we explain the point we reach after our studies.
