ÖZET Ebru sanatı konusunda, hazırlanmış olan bu tezin içeriğinde; Ebru sanatı hakkında, gerekli doğru bilgiler, açıklamalar ve çalışmalar yer almaktadır. İçeriği özetlemek gerekirse; İlk olarak önsöz, İçindekiler; şu an okunmakta olan tez özeti, bu özetin ingilizce versiyonu (Summary) ve giriş bölümü tezin başlangıcını oluşturmaktadır. Daha sonra sırası ile; ebrunun ne anlama geldiği, ebru sanatının tarihçesi, Avrupa'da ebru, Türk ebruculuğu üzerinde durulmuştur. Ebru yapılacak bir atölyenin özellikleri, ebru yapımında kullanılacak malzemeler (su, kitre, öd, boya, kağıt vs...), ebru yapımında kullanılan boyalar, renklerin karışım yolu ile elde edilmesi, ebru yapımında kullanılan boyaların yapısı ve özellikleri, topraktan boya elde edilmesi, genel renk bilgisi, boyaların hazırlanması ve boya renkleri anlatılarak ebru yapımı konusuna geçilmiştir. İlerleyen bölümlerde ebrunun kağıda geçirilmesi, ebru yapımında karşılaşılan sorunlar ve düzeltilmesi, ebru çalışmalarım sırasında edindiğim izlenimlerden oluşan genel notlar gelmektedir. Buradan ebru çeşitlerine (Battal Ebru, Gel-Git Ebru, Şal Ebru, Tarak Ebru vs.) geçilmektedir. Bu bölümü; tarihimizdeki ebru sanatı kullanılan tekniğe göre, ebruda devreler ilk ve son dönem ebrucuları, son dönem ebru sanatçısı Füsun Arıkan'ın, ebru sanatı konusundaki görüşleri izlemektedir. Sonuç bölümünün ardından; ebru sanatı konusundaki kaynaklar, bibliyografya, ebru sanatı ile ilgili fotoğraflar ebru örnekleri, renkli ve açıklamalı olarak ekler bölümünde yer almaktadır. Tez içeriğinde son olarak ebru terimleri sözlüğü bulunmaktadır. iv

SUMMARY This work is about the marble Art. It includes some necessary informations, explanations and works about this art. The topics are as follows: First; the foreword, contents: the summary, the English version and the entrance, construct the begining of this thesis. Then; the meaning of the marble art, the history, marble art in Europe and the Turkish marble art are explained. The specialities of the workshop where we can apply the art, the materials that we need (water, paint, papers,...), the paints which are necessary for the marble art, how to construct the paint by the way of mixturing, the structure of the paints which we use in this art and the specialities, how to make a paint from the soil, information about the coenel colours, preperation of the paints and the colors of the paints hawe told. Then the new subject `how to applythe marble art` starts. In the following part; we learn to apply it on the marble paper, the problems that we can live and the solutions of this problems, the general notes that we learned while we were making the marble art. Then the varieties of the marble art starts; (Battal, Gel-Git, Şal, Tarak..) The marble art, the first and the last marbling artists and the opinions of Füsun Ankan who is from the last term artists After the result, part; sources of the marble art, bibliography, fotoğraphs, examples, which are coloured and explained, take place in the aplitions part and in the last part the dictionary of the marble art take place. v
