Psikolojik Sermaye Ölçeğininin Geçerlilik ve Güvenilirlik Çalışması’’

Abstract

Abstract The purpose of the study is to adapt Psychological Capital Scale into Turkish and to conduct validity and reliability analysis of the Scale which was developed by Fred Luthans and his colleagues (2007). This study intends to be referred to the future studies in our country as psychological capital has become an important concept in the field of Organizational Behavior. The study was conducted among 158 employees who work in information sector. For validity studies, confirmatory factor analysis; for internal consistency, reliability analyses were performed. According to the results of the study, it was found that psychological capital was explained by 3 factors in contrast to the 4 factors of the original scale. The factors remained in the scale were determined as self-efficacy, hope and optimism while resilience dimension of the original scale disappeared. As a result of the study, psychological capital scale was found to be reliable in the limits of the research area but was not found as a valid instrument.
