A quantitative study of Crassostrea rhizophorae in Estero Vizcaya, Limón, Costa Rica, during December 1983, showed a population of 19,760 oysters with a confidence limit of 90% and an error of ±100 oysters. Of this population, 43.53% were over 60.0 mm in length (the commercial size established for this area).
