Abstract

Recently, the Editorial of the University of Costa Rica released the book "The formation of the Costa Rican national narrative (1890-1910), which has earned its author, our colleague Alvaro Quesada, two significant distinctions:" Ancora Award "and" National Essay Award. "For our part as literature scholars we want to respond here to the work done by making a representation of the text and proposing some lines of discussion that echo their analytical effort that the book is constitutively linked to the chair and to university research.
