Abstract

ABSTRACT: Child resilience within the field of welfare is defined as the capacity of children to overcome situations of risk and adversity and develop themselves positively. This work will examine this concept, also reviewing the contributions of other approaches, such as Positive Psychology, in order to highlight their common contributions with other lines of work, such as the Schools Promoting Health Network. Our aim is to substantiate a guide of good practices within the school context for pre-school teachers. This proposal will be focused on providing the teacher with the tools to promote pupils’ resilience with classroom work, independently of their situation of vulnerability. This intervention from an early age will facilitate the progressive development of children’s personal resources, which help them to prevent situations of risk.
