Abstract

ABSTRACT: In this work, the project for the installation of a photovoltaic plant for self -consumption with compensated surpluses in a livestock shed is developed. This livestock building will remain connected to the electrical network at all times, this allows that in the hours that solar radiation does not affect the photovoltaic modules, or that this radiation is in quantities smaller than those necessary to fully consume the energy produced by the panels, the customer can consume the desired energy from the network. On the contrary, this connection with the electricity grid allows, that in cases where the energy generated by the solar modules is higher than that consumed by the customer, the surpluses produced can be discharged into the grid with compensation. The client has a contracted power of 43,648kW and an average monthly consumption of 5,400 kWh. The future installation of two fans, for reasons of health and welfare of the animals, will cause consumption to be increased, under these conditions, the average monthly consumption will be approximately 6600kWh. Taking into account their needs, it has been determined that the photovoltaic installation on the roof of the livestock building will consist of 90 solar modules of 445W each, that installation will be divided into 6 strings of 15 modules. The support structure will be made of aluminum and the solar panels will be fixed on rails. The photovoltaic installation has a 36kW inverter. Through the technical study it is estimated that the installation will produce a power of 52MWh that with a series of losses in the installation, an available energy of 46,250MWh is obtained, of which 27,493MWh will be self-consumed and the rest will be discharged to the electricity grid with a economic compensation. The final budget amounts to 44,791.35 euros.
