RESUMEN: A lo largo de la historia de la Educación siempre han existido otros modos de hacer escuelas diferentes al oficial, la llamada “educación alternativa”. Este complejo y heterogéneo constructo engloba un amplio abanico de propuestas y pedagogías entre las que se encuentra la educación libre, cuyos principales precursores fueron J.J. Rousseau y L. Tolstoi. Aunque muchas de estas experiencias han desaparecido y han sido olvidadas con el paso del tiempo, aquí se rescatan ejemplos representativos de este modelo de escuela como: Summerhill, El centro Pestalozzi de los Wild y Paideia. Asimismo, se deja legado de que hoy en día, y dentro del territorio nacional, podemos encontrar múltiples escuelas que trabajan bajo los principios de la libertad, el respeto a la infancia y la no directividad, como es el caso del proyecto Barcelonés de La Caseta que damos a conocer en el presente estudio.
ABSTRACT: Throughout the history of Education there have always been other ways of doing school different from the official one, the so-called "alternative education". This complex and heterogeneous construct encompasses a wide range of proposals and pedagogies among which is free education, whose main precursors were J.J. Rousseau and L. Tolstoi. Although many of these experiences have disappeared and have been forgotten over time, here are rescued representative examples of this school model such as Summerhill, the center of Pestalozzi of the Wild and Paideia. Therefore a legacy is remaining nowadays, and within the national territory, we can find schools that work under the principles of freedom, respect for childhood and non-directivity, as is the case of the Barcelonés of La Caseta project that we will unfold in the present research.
