AICLE: de la teoría a la práctica

Abstract

ABSTRACT: The current society presents a problem in the acquisition of English, mainly due to the old methodologies based on translation and repetition. The globalized world where we live demands a multilingual and multicultural society, which has led us to a considerable growth, in the field of education, of bilingual programs. CLIL is an innovative approach that gets the second language acquisition to be natural and respectful with the cognitive processes of children. This paper discusses the history, the essential features and the characteristics of this methodology. Finally, it presents an example of a lesson plan for 2nd Grade students based on the pillars of CLIL.
