Variables asociadas al Duelo Complicado tras una muerte traumática: Una revisión sistemática

Abstract

El duelo es una experiencia humana universal, única y dolorosa que puede delimitarse en el tiempo, presenta una evolución previsiblemente favorable y requiere la necesidad de adaptación a la nueva situación. No obstante, cuando no sigue el curso esperado, se le suele denominar duelo complicado (DC), patológico o persistente. Una de las variables asociadas a un peor proceso del duelo es el haber sufrido la muerte traumática de un ser querido. El propósito de este estudio fue realizar una revisión sistemática para poder responder a la cuestión de, si existen variables que puedan predecir las complicaciones en el duelo a largo plazo, tras una muerte traumática. Se llevó a cabo una búsqueda electrónica de los artículos publicados en inglés y en español a través de las bases de datos PubMed y PsycInfo, encontrando 14 trabajos empíricos. Los resultados sugieren un acuerdo en que, el apoyo social y estrategias de afrontamiento adecuadas se relacionan con menos niveles de duelo. Sin embargo, los resultados son diversos con respecto al resto de variables analizadas (género, edad, TEPT…) y no permiten obtener conclusiones claras. Es necesario ampliar la investigación en este campo con el objetivo de profundizar en el conocimiento sobre qué factores permiten explicar y el duelo complicado tras una muerte traumática
