Competencias profesionales y competencias emocionales en orientadores escolares

Abstract

Investigación, enmarcada dentro de los estudios ex post facto retrospectivos, que pretende conocer la opinión de orientadores escolares acerca de la importancia de diferentes competencias profesionales y competencias emocionales con la finalidad de obtener información para mejorar los planes de estudio de estos profesionales. En base a una muestra de 203 orientadores de las etapas educativas de Infantil y Primaria y Educación Secundaria, se obtiene como resultado que los orientadores conceden mayor importancia en el ejercicio profesional a las competencias profesionales: gestión de la convivencia, trabajo en equipo y competencias socio-relacionales. Por otro lado, en cuanto a las competencias emocionales los orientadores conceden mayor importancia a las competencias emocionales complementarias, posteriormente a las competencias emocionales interpersonales, y por último, a las competencias emocionales intrapersonales. Finalmente, se evidencian diferencias significativas en función de la etapa educativa de los orientadores escolares y en función del sexo.
