Cuatro comedias celestinescas

Abstract

La Celestina fue para muchos dramaturgos del siglo XVI un poderoso estímulo literario y una incitante fuente de inspiración. En el presente volumen se ofrece la edición cuidada y rigurosa de cuatro obras dramáticas poco conocidas que, aparte sus intrínsecos y sorprendentes valores teatrales, ilustran significativamente ese llamativo fenómeno histórico-literario. Las tres primeras —la Comedia Tesorina, la Comedia Tidea y el Auto de Clarindo— adaptarán el modelo celestinesco al molde de la trama amorosa, escenario urbano y final feliz. La Comedia Pródiga, por su parte, utilizará el dato celestinesco como un ingrediente más de la variada galería de tipos, anécdotas y peripecias que retrata escénicamente.
