Abstract

Este artículo presenta, de manera divulgativa, los aspectos principales de cómo la diferencia de los sexos constituyó en la literatura de viajes a España un criterio fundamental a la hora de construir estereotipos acerca del carácter mediterráneo.

This short essay presents in a popularizing format the main ideas about how gender was used as a key criterion to build sterotypes about Mediterranean character in travel narratives about trips to Spain
