Abstract

Se estudian los componentes de la dieta del gamo (Dama dama) y del muflón (Ovis ammon musimum) en diferentes estaciones del año, en el área ecológica de la Sierra de Cazorla. El análisis de los 43 estómagos (21 de gamo y 22 de muflón) obtenidos en distintas estaciones, puso de manifiesto los siguientes resultados: en primavera, alrededor del 95 p.100 del contenido ruminal estuvo constituido por especies herbáceas, en el gamo, y mas del 98 p.100 en el muflón; el resto, 5 p.100 y menos del 2 p.100 eran plantas arbustivas y/o arbóreas encontradas en los rumenes del gamo y muflón, respectivamente. En esta estación no se detectaron frutos forestales en la dieta. En la estación estival la proporción de herbáceas consumidas, por estos rumiantes silvestres, es igual (90 p.100) y muy similar en cuanto a arbustivas y arbóreas (10 p.100), en el muflón; y el 9 p.100, en el gamo. En este ultimo, el 1 p.100 restante lo representan los frutos forestales. No los consume el muflón. En otoño siguen predominando las especies herbáceas en la dieta de estos animales: 80 p.100, en el gamo, y el 95 p.100, en el muflón; se reduce el consumo de arbustivas y arbóreas en este ultimo (5 p.100) y se mantiene en el gamo (9 p.100), en el cual los frutos forestales ascienden al 11 p.100. En el muflón no se han encontrado. En invierno, se puede decir que la dieta del gamo y la del muflón son prácticamente iguales que las de primavera: predominan las especies herbáceas, con el 95 p.100 de consumo, en el gamo, y mas del 99 p.100, en el muflón; no aparecen frutos forestales, en ninguno de los animales estudiados, y las especies arbustivas y arbóreas suponen el 5 p.100 y menos del 1 p.100 de la dieta del gamo y muflón, respectivamente.

This work deals with botanical identification of vegetation integrating Dama dama °and Ovis ammom musimum diets, in the National Park Sierra of Cazorla. Seasonal analysis of ruminal contents of 21 Dama dama and 22 Ovis ammom musimum yield the following results: In spring about 95-98 p.100 of it was of, herbacous species, and 2-5 p.100shrubby materials. Summer diet was integrated by: fruits of trees and shrubs (about 1 p.100), herbacous species (90 p.100) and shrubby materials (9 p.100). In autumn, the presence of fruits increases (11 p.100), the presence of browses was 5-9 p.100 and 80-95 p.100 of herbacous species. In winter about 95-99 p.100 of it was of herbacous species and 1-5 p.100 shrubby materials.
