Canções e utopias na Guerra Civil Espanhola (1936-1939)

Abstract

A relação entre música, conflito, protesto e resistência política representa um campo de estudo que tem suscitado um interesse crescente por parte de investigadores de várias áreas das ciências sociais e musicais. A música desempenha um papel essencial na construção de identidades e solidariedades internacionais, favorecendo o intercâmbio de utopias e ligando os espaços, as emoções e a cultura política de diferentes grupos sociais. No contexto da Guerra Civil Espanhola (1936-1939), a música teve um papel significativo através de repertórios que apelavam à luta contra o fascismo. Neste texto, pretendo questionar a música enquanto veículo de ideologia e resistência política, considerando a sua ação mobilizadora em defesa dos valores democráticos da Segunda República, de modo a evidenciar como algumas canções foram transformadas e apropriadas para construir laços identitários entre diferentes grupos político-ideológicos.
