Abstract

A matéria poética de Aracne de António Franco Alexandre forma-se a partir de um pressuposto narrativo – a transformação do sujeito lírico num aranhiço -, convocando-se desde logo a presença de Gregor, personagem principal da novela A Metamorfose de Franz Kafka, através de um duplo movimento de aproximação e recusa, já que, embora o animal decorrente de tais metamorfoses se revele distinto nas duas obras, a sua ação apresenta propriedades convergentes. A metamorfose, enquanto mecanismo de desdobramento, provoca a desumanidade do humano que, ao mudar de corpo, dá lugar ao animal, acentuando-se deste modo a desintegração do “eu”. Mas, neste âmbito, como se delimitam as fronteiras entre o humano e o animal? Que consequências implica a mutação?
