Abstract

Resume-se o bem nutrido conteúdo do volume, que reúne textos de consagrados especialistas em cada uma das matérias que versam. Fica-se com uma ideia bastante completa do que foi a economia rural na Antiguidade. Aduz-se, aqui e além, um que outro comentário complementar (nomeadamente em relação ao texto sobre os Aqueménidas, que necessitaria dalguma revisão lógica e formal) assim como o testemunho dos achados feitos na villa romana de Freiria, onde a investigação arqueológica privilegiou a descoberta da «pars fructuaria» (neste caso, a propósito da intervenção de Amílcar Guerra).

Integram a equipa responsável pelo volume: José Martins Ramos (que assina a apresentação), António Ramos dos Santos, Nuno Simões Rodrigues, Tatiana Kuznetsova-Resende e Amílcar Guerra, todos docentes na Faculdade de Letras da Universidade de Lisboa.
