Abstract

Na Serra da Freita existe um conjunto de geossítios com um valor patrimonial de diferentes tipologias, cuja relevância se pretende colocar em evidência através desta proposta de valorização. Dela fazem parte acções que visam melhorar os acessos e acções de interpretação / divulgação do património geológico, que se dirigem ao público em geral e em particular ao público escolar, que visita com frequência crescente o Geoparque Arouca. Pretende-se com esta proposta contribuir para a sensibilização de todos os visitantes para a importância deste património e para a necessidade da sua conservação.

In the Freita Mountain occurs an assemblage of geosites comprising different kinds of values. This valuing proposal aims to put in evidence the relevance of those occurrences, and includes actions for improving the access to geosites and actions of interpretation/diffusion of geosites, addressed to the general public and students whose visiting is increasing in the Arouca Geopark. This work intends to raise awareness of all visitors, to the importance of this geological heritage and the need of its conservation.
