Contar histórias é intrínseco ao ser humano e é uma prática comum a todas as sociedades. É através de histórias que somos capazes de aprender sobre o mundo que nos cerca sem ter a necessidade de construir esse conhecimento através de experiências em primeira mão. Porém, esse processo de disseminação de informação não é fidedigno, pois qualquer que seja o narrador, quando reproduz uma história, seja ele real ou fictícia, acrescenta aspectos das suas experiencias pessoais. Partindo dessa premissa, quanto mais pessoas transmitem uma mesma história, mais ela está sujeita a distorções. Recontar uma história é um processo de reconstrução, não de reprodução: a essência da história se mantém, mas nós a contamos de forma que ela seja mais consistente e coerente com os nossos conhecimentos prévios. Nesse contexto o objetivo do presente trabalho é abordar esse processo de transformação ao explorar a natureza oral e mutável do folclore abordando o contexto brasileiro. Para isso, foi construída uma ficção hipertextual onde o leitor será capaz de moldar o mundo narrativo.O projeto adota os personagens folclóricos em uma narrativa de hiperficção na qual o leitor assumirá um papel de leitor-interator e influenciará diretamente o desenvolvimento da narrativa. Durante o seu percurso pelo texto, o leitor encontrará decisões que irão influenciar o mundo narrativo de duas personagens: Aline, uma aluna de doutorado em biologia, e Fátima, uma cozinheira de cantina escolar. Cada uma dessas personagens proporciona ao leitor contato com personagens folclóricos, a saber: Saci, Kitsune, Loira do Banheiro e Homem do Saco.

Telling stories is natural to human beings and it is a practice present in every society. It is through stories that we can learn about the world without having to acquire this knowledge through first-hand experience. However, the process by which this knowledge is spread is not trustworthy, every narrator, when telling a story, real or fictional, influences it with their personal experiences. In this context, with each new iteration of a story, the story is subjected to distortions. Retelling a story is not a process of reproduction, but of reconstruction: the core of the story is maintained, but we tell them in way that it is more coherent with our previous knowledge. The aim of the present project is to approach this process of transformation by exploring the ever-changing nature of folktales, emphasizing the Brazilian context. In order to achieve this goal, a hypertext fiction was constructed, in which the reader is be able to shape the narrative world.The project uses characters of Brazilian folklore in a hypertext fiction setting where the reader will have a role of a reader-interactor and will directly influence the development of the narrative. While in contact with the text, the reader will face choices that can impact the narrative world of two characters: Aline, a biology PhD candidate, and Fátima, a canteen cooker. Each of these characters will allow the reader to get in contact with a character from folktales, which will be: Saci, Kitsune, Loira do Banheiro and Homem do Saco
