[EN]The ecology of soil seed banks plays a crucial role in the dynamics of grassland populations and communities, and may be a useful tool for their management. Studies carried out in Spain, looking at the reservoirs of seed buried in the soil are reviewed. They each have a different approach, pursue diverse objectives and apply various methods. Some concluding remarks and perspectives on future research topics are discussed.
