Distribución y zonación de las algas bentónicas en la facies rocosa del sistema intermareal de las Rías Bajas Gallegas

Abstract

[EN] l. Alga! communities in Galicia have the same specific composition than the North-Atlantic temperature ones, but physionomically sorne differences are conspicuous: a) Sorne species being characteristic in the North-Atlantic coast have not been found in Galicia as Laminaría digitata, Alaria esculenta. b) Sorne others present are scarce aml their are only in a few number of localities (Fucus serratus, Ascophyllum nodosum), general! y lacking. e) Himanthalia elongata and Saccorhiza polyschides are more abundant in Galicia than in the Northen coast, the first one forms an actual horizon in low intertidal levels. 2. After severa! years controlling intertidal populations and in comparaison with data from FISCHER-PIETTE (see bibliography) the "Septentrionalization" seems to increase. .3 Pattern of zonation in different exposed shores is as follow (top to clown): a) Sheltered shore: 1 Lichenic horizon. 2 Pelvetia canaliculata. 3 Fucus spiralis. 4 Ascophyllum nodosum. 5 Fucus vesiculosus. 6 Zostera fields (Z. noltii and Z. marina). b) Semiexposed shore: 1 Lichenic horizon. 2 Pelvetia canaliculata. 3 Fucus spiralis. 4 Fringe in wich there are no representative Fucaceae. 5 Fucus vesiculosus. 6 Hímanthalia elongata. 7 Laminaría ochroleuca. c) Exposed shore: 1 Lichenic horizon. 2 Extense fringe without fucaceae (Balanids and Mussels). 3 Hímanthalia elongata horizon. 4 Laminaría and Saccorhiza. [...] Gelidium sesquipedale, Xanthoria parietina, Caloplaca marina, Verrucaria maura, Lichina confinis, Caloplaca citrina, Caloplaca aurantia, Blidingia minima (= Enteromorpha minima) var. ramulosa, Phormidium sp., Lyngbya martensiana, Obione sp., Aster tripolium, Juncus maritimus, Fucus vesiculosus var. muscoides, Fucus vesiculosus var. balticus, Lichina pygmaea, Porphyra linearis, Bangia fuscopurpurea, Calothrix scopulorum, Blidinga minima, Bostrichia scorpioides, Catenella opuntia, Aglaothamnion scopulorum, Aglaothamnion roseum, Hildenbrandia prototypus, Rivularia bullata, Fucus axillaris, Fucus lutarius, Chtamallus stellatus, Mytilus edulis, Mytilus galloprovincialis, Pollicipes cornucopiae, Enteromorpha compressa, Porphyra umbicalis, Fucus vesiculosus evesiculosus pendens fructuplanus, Litophyllum tortuosum, Laurencia pinnatifida, Gigartina stellata, Chorda filum, Bifurcaria bifurcata, Pterosiphonia pennata, Chondrus crispus, Laminaría hyperborea, Codium dichotomum, Rhodothamiella floridula, Cladostephus verticillatus, Dictyota dichotoma, Halopteris, Lithopyllum incrustans, Patella, Paracentrotus lividus, Littorina, Gibbula, Ceramium, Polisiphonia, Cystoseira myriophylloides [...]
