[EN] Rapport of the brief survey made in December 1967 of a shallow (less than 3 m) coastal lagoon in the Gulf of Mexico. [...] Skeletonema costatum, Rhodomonas sp., Chaetaffinis, Coscinodiscus, Chlorophyceae, Rhyzophora, Diplanthera, Cyclotella sp., Tetraselmis sp., Chaetoceros affinis willei, Nitzschia closterium, Asterionella japonica, Thalassionema nitzschioides, Ankistrodesmus nannoselene, Cylindrotheca acicularis, Navicula sp., Nitzschia sp., Gymnodinium sp., Eutreptiella sp., Achnanthes sp., Rhizosolenia setigera, Beggiatoa sp., Chaetoceros lorenzians, Ceratium furca, Bacteriastrum hyalinum, Chaetoceros decipiens, Tintinnopsis sp., Favella sp., Spirogyra, Bacillaria pzxillifer, Terpsinoc musica, Bosmina, Ceriodaphnia, Testudinella, Lyngbya aestugrii, Gyrosigma fasciola, Cocconeis scutellum

[ES] Una gran extensión del litoral del Golfo de México está bordeada de lagunas de características diversas. Unen a su interés ecológico la condición práctica de ser lugares de cría o de captura de especies con valor comercial, como son los camarones (langostinos, PenaeusI y las jaibas (Callinectes) en la de Alvarado. [...] Algunas observaciones realizadas en diciembre de 1967 en una laguna costera poco profunda (hasta 3 m) adyacente al Golfo de México, indican una salinidad moderada (fig. 1) y un fitoplancton de características más bine marinas (tabla 1) [...]
