Abstract

This essay aims to make visible the implementation of a proposal intervention with a single case in a foster family that tries to promote the adaptation of the child to the imminent return with her biological mother. In order to make this, the life story work "Journey to My Story" is carried out with the child. A restorative approach to his personal history, which seeks to promote reconciliation with her own story and with herself, attending to her needs and the difficulties experienced and helping to cushion the damage they have produced. The results show a favorable evolution of the child in the level of adaptation to the process of return, highlighting as main conclusion the importance and benefits of professional support to children in foster families in the return process, as well as the usefulness of the work of history of life for this purpose.
