Abstract

Psychometric properties of the ECADA antisocial behavior scale, designed and adapted by Andreu and Peña (2013), are described at the present study. In a sample composed by 640 adolescents, 48,4% males (n = 310) and 51,6% women (n = 330), the scale showed adequate goodness of fit through a uni-dimensional antisocial behavior model. Concurrent validity with measures of aggression was adequate, and the level of internal consistency shown by the instrument was also high. Using another sample, in which adolescents from the community center (n=110) were compared with adolescents from a correctional center (n=70), the scale discriminated both groups, showing very high levels of internal consistency. To sum up, the ECADA scale is a useful tool for assessing antisocial behavior with adequate psychometric guarantees in socio-educational and intervention contexts.
