Este artículo presenta algunos cambios e innovaciones que se han ido produciendo en los últimas décadas en la enseñanza y aprendizaje de lenguas modernas (ya sean segundas o extranjeras), así como su influencia en la metodología de trabajo en las aulas. Se hace, posteriormente, un especial hincapié en los enfoques y en la planificación de unidades didácticas basados en tareas, entendidas como el elemento central de trabajo en torno al que se organizan las actividades de las lecciones. Asimismo, se plantea la necesidad de realizar una evaluación del proceso de trabajo en el aula desde la perspectiva de la investigación en el aula, así como algunas implicaciones para los profesores de lenguas segundas o extranjeras.
This article deals with some innovations and new moves that have appeared in the last decades in the modern language teaching and leaming field, as well as their influence on classroom methodology. It also gives attention to the approaches and lesson plans based on tasks, as the main element of organising classroom activities. Finally, the evaluation of the classroom working process is considered from an action research approach and some implications for the teachers are presented.
