Abstract

La curva de sesgo asintótico máximo mide la mayor discrepancia posible entre el valor al que converge un estimador y el valor del parámetro que se desea estimar cuando hay datos atípicos en la muestra. El objetivo central del presente trabajo es el de investigar nuevos aspectos y problemas de la teoría de robustez, cuando la estabilidad de los estimadores se evalúa mediante esta curva, así como unificar y extender algunos de los resultados que ya existían previamente. En primer lugar, se propone una nueva medida de robustez, la tasa de ruptura, que mide la estabilidad de los estimadores cuando la proporción de datos atípicos en la muesta es alta. Esta medida matiza la información proporcionada por medidas de robustez ya existentes, como el punto de ruptura. También se obtiene un método general para calcular la curva de sesgo asintótico máximo, válido para estimadores de regresión que se construyen buscando aquel vector de parámetos que minimiza una medida robusta de la escala de los residuos. Finalmente, aunque se prueba que no es posible aplicar el método anterior a estimadores de regresión basados en minimizar la escala de las diferencias de los residuos, también se proporciona una teoría adecuada a este caso.
