Traditional rural biotopes such as woodpastures are among the most biodiverse habitats in northern Europe. Grazed areas tend to have higher biodiversity compared to areas without grazing, so establishing proper management practices is essential. This article explains how these traditional rural biotopes are creating a range of opportunities to generate additional farm income in Finland.
