Abstract

El trastorno específico del lenguaje (TEL), también denominado como trastorno del desarrollo del lenguaje (TDL), se presenta en la población a través de dificultades severas en la comprensión y/o la expresión del lenguaje que afectan a su calidad de vida y suponen una barrera en la progresión académica y en el acceso laboral. El reciente cambio en su conceptualización y diagnóstico en el contexto anglosajón hacia el concepto de TDL2 (Bishop, Snowling, Thompson, Greenhalgh, Catalise‐2 Consortium, Adams,... & Boyle, 2016 y 2017) ha impulsado la modificación de prácticas clínicas, como la modificación de los criterios de exclusión relativos al cociente intelectual, y el uso de esta categorización en la literatura científica. Este cambio en el contexto anglosajón motiva la revisión del estado de la literatura científica en el contexto hispanohablante en un campo específico de la disciplina logopédica como es la intervención del TDL. Los avances en el conocimiento sobre los procesos y metodologías de evaluación del TEL/TDL, así como el proceso histórico de cambio en la conceptualización del trastorno motivan un análisis de estos aspectos en la comunidad clínica y científica hispanohablante, ya que dicha comunidad comparte una red de información vehiculada por una lengua común.
