El proceso extraordinario de escolarización. Un estudio cualitativo de las percepciones de sus protagonistas

Abstract

La escolarización en el período extraordinario o movilidad del alumnado es uno de los procesos menos abordados desde la investigación en el ámbito educativo (Carrasco et al., 2012). Diversos autores (Aramburu, 2002; Bonal y Zancajo, 2020; Piemontese, 2018) afirman que es un proceso altamente complejo y que suele generar segregación escolar. Por ello, este estudio tiene como objetivo conocer el proceso de admisión de estudiantes en período extraordinario de un municipio del sur de Madrid desde la perspectiva de sus protagonistas. Para alcanzarlo, se ha desarrollado un estudio de caso con seis entrevistas semiestructuradas a directores escolares, representantes del AMPA y representantes de la Comunidad de Madrid y el ayuntamiento. Los resultados muestran que existe un gran descontento con el proceso de matriculación fuera del período ordinario, especialmente porque genera desequilibrio entre los centros escolares al ser las familias las que eligen el centro al que llevar a sus hijos (centros con plazas disponibles). Esta situación acrecienta las diferencias entre los centros que llenan su matrícula en período ordinario y los que reciben estudiantes a lo largo del curso escolar, promoviendo la desigualdad escolar y con ello, incrementando la inequidad educativa.
