Correlations between 17 plant characteristics in intermediate wheatgrass were determined. Few important relationships were found between these characteristics, suggesting that linkage relationships are small. Forage and seed yields were positively correlated, indicating that selection for one will not likely reduce the other. The data suggested that rated values as indicators of yield might be justified, and that the non-agronomic characters, foliage color and leaf pubescence could be useful as variety identification markers.
