Abstract

Cet article fait le point sur l'état de l'Art du drainage agricole et montre une évolution de l'ingénierie type génie rural vers une ingénierie de la remédiation, faisant de plus en plus appel aux disciplines du génie écologique et du dialogue territorial. Concernant la remédiation, les solutions, nécessairement complémentaires à une utilisation responsable des intrants agricoles et visant à améliorer la qualité des eaux de drainage existent , elles sont présentées par ailleurs dans ce numéro, certaines comme les zones tampons humides artificielles ont prouvé leur efficientes et leurs aménités reconnues (biodiversité, paysages). D'autres, comme les bioréacteurs ou le drainage contrôlé –applicable sans investissement ni consommation de foncier dans nos polders- nécessitent validation, ou plus exactement évaluation de performance, dans notre contexte climatique. C'est donc plutôt « au bout du tuyau » que l'Art du drainage agricole a besoin de se stabiliser, et dans de nombreux domaines. Un autre enjeu de recherche est la place du drainage agricole dans un contexte de changement climatique car il convient de savoir si les ouvrages actuels dont on sait qu'ils sont durables s'ils sont entretenus doivent être maintenus ou adaptés aux conditions futures.
