The integration of information model of Signal Detection Theory was tested in multiple observation conceptual discrimination tasks. Mean improvement in discriminability resulting from additional stimulus observations was consonant with theory when Ss produced a rating response after each stimulus observation, but fell short of theory when S judged the complete stimulus sets in a binary fashion.
