Le rôle de la littérature dans l’enseignement de la langue roumaine à l’école primaire

Abstract

The role of literature in teaching Rumanian in Primary School. Cristina Alexandru, DYALANG, université de Rouen (France) The article highlights the key role of literature in the teaching of Rumanian. After a brief presentation of the structure of the Rumanian school system, it compares the current situation to what prevailed before 1989. It shows an evolution from the exclusive practice of literature mainly oriented towards writing activities to the development of «functional» writing and oral activities, which are felt as necessary. Then some examples of learning objectives and types of activities implemented in the language class are presented ; they show that literature still has a determinating role in the teaching of Rumanian.
