The article discusses the possibility of applying the Foucauldian methodology to the analysis of works of BioArt - one of the areas of Science Art. The paper considers BioArt works as a case of heterotopy, proving that they possess the signs of heterotopia described by M. Foucault. The author suggests a description of the mechanism of art works heterotopisation, which is based on the transit and re-description processes, when, through the transformation of the form and functions and through the inclusion into fundamentally new systems of relations, objects acquire properties not previously inherent in them.
