This article combines queer theory with Abya Yala indigenous philosophy. Queer theory prevents romanticizing indigenous realities; while indigenous philosophy allows for a critical perspective on the queer bubble. The novels La Mucama de Omicunlé (2015) by Rita Indiana, and Vagabonds (2022) by Eloghosa Osunde question the linear concept of time from both theoretical perspectives, conceiving temporality as an experience of simultaneities. In relation to concepts of relationality and fluidity these novels propose realities beyond binary logics, blurring the lines between life and death, feminine and masculine, one and many, good and bad, human and non-human, present and absent, past and future.
