Various Vedic institutions of Chola period(9th-13th centuries CE], in south India is traced with the different subjects of study, strength and allotment of remuneration and fellowship to teachers. students. The different levels of standards of education, the royal and public donations, terms and conditions of both stake holders, their places of stay are analyzed. the educational institutions and their relations are also brought out by study of epigraphy, particularly to the Chola period.
