The paper aims to explain how input influences explicit knowledge, how input influences implicit knowledge, and if input can transform explicit knowledge into implicit knowledge. The researchers will discuss the stated problems and issues in the form of document analysis wherein the researchers gather data from other journal articles studied previously. The researchers will summarize, analyze and generalize the ideas of previous studies in order to answer the research questions. With the studies of Krashen’s input hypothesis and Long’s interaction hypothesis, they claimed that Input does influence implicit knowledge as if input is understood by the learners and if the input is enough to be provided to learners, grammar rules that are necessary and essential for language acquisition is granted automatically. Thus, language acquisition through comprehensible input develops the implicit knowledge. Some implications and recommendations are offered.
