Offshore Safety Assessment

Abstract

Abstract Safety assessments, risk analysis studies and emergency management evaluations are increasingly used for on- and offshore industrial installations with hazardous material. TNO has a broad experience in the development and application of effect and consequence modelling, reliability engineering methods and accident analysis and investigation. From this background, the application has been extended to offshore applications. A toolbox for offshore safety assessment has been structured and continuous efforts take place in further development of the models and decreasing of uncertainties.
