
At present, the problem of low potato production at the national level is presented and the use of certified seeds will increase productivity and quality by improving the competitiveness of potato seed producers. The Instituto Nacional de Innovacion Agraria - INIA, whose functions are research and knowledge transfer in the Agricultural sector, considers through this research work; Project management: Strengthening the Technical and Commercial Capabilities of certified potato seed producers in the department of Huancavelica; implement the good practices of the PMBOK® Guide for the indicated project, in which potato seed producers will be trained so that they can use appropriate methodologies for the production of certified seed. Firstly developing the Business Case as an initial evaluation of the project's feasibility. Then, through the guidelines and good practices of the PMBOK® 6th edition guide, a methodology is developed under the standards of the PMI that allows the optimal direction of the project, and with the support of the knowledge areas the processes suitable for the Successful development and closure of the project. The project has determined the investment of S/ 759,192 and an execution period of 30 months, considering obtaining a NPV of S/ 50,657 and IRR of 19,30%. Finally, this work can also be used in similar INIA projects considering the differences inherent in each project.
