Abstract

The purpose of this work is to identify the types of navigation systems in a multi-page publication and their features with the possibility of using them to visually demonstrate their project and the effectiveness of creative implementation. The research set and solve the following goals: 1. Analysis of the types of navigation systems in the multi-page edition. 2. The study of the features and principles of the elements of the navigation system. 3. The study of analogues corresponding to the analyzed types of navigation. 4. Description and analysis of the design of French magazines using photomontage and photo collage. 5. Development of a collection of scientific articles using a navigation system. Using all the features of a certain navigation system will allow you to design a multi-page edition with the necessary requirements, elements, and design. Depending on the choice of the navigation system, the functionality and logic of the publication are determined. Based on this, it should be understood that there is a need for a theoretical justification of navigation systems when designing multi-page publications. As a result of the research, an analysis of the main functions, goals and objectives of the navigation system in the multi-page edition was carried out, their main and additional elements were identified. The use of several types of navigation systems in the studied aspect was considered. As a result of the analysis, such types of navigation were found as: standard, classical, register, color-graphic and navigation of complex publications. To apply one of the types of navigation systems in practice, a project for the development of a collection of scientific articles was chosen. To develop it, a review of the subject area was conducted and analogues using the studied approach of data visualization in collections and books were considered. In the design part, color-graphic navigation was implemented for the collection of scientific articles "Photomontage" by V.V. Laptev. The use of this system has improved the visual perception of the collection and the focus on photomontage and photo collage in French magazines. Graphic editors and open source design systems were used in the development process.
