In his book ‘Conceptual Spaces’ Ga¨rdenfors (2000) sets out a framework for the representation of concepts and word meanings which defines semantic features as values on ordered property scales and arranges these scales as independent quality dimensions in a multidimensional coordinate system. The resulting representation of a concept is therefore a region in “conceptual space”. In this paper, we will briefly introduce this model, and then explore possible ways of adapting it to verb meanings.
