Abstract

In this paper I tried to describe some phonological and morphological aspects of english loanwords in Portuguese. I observed 631 anglicisms of the DicionariodaLinguaPortuguesa (Porto Editora, 1998, 8th edition). The adaptation of the english words has producted some modifications in portuguese phonological and morphological systems.
