Apres avoir distingue le statut et l’usage de l’image (religieuse) dans les chretientes d’Orient et d’Occident, Anca Manolescu etude deux cas de vierge miraculeuse en Transylvanie (au monasteres de Moisei et de Nicula), qui lui permettent de proposer une interpretation de l’economie complexe des icones, liee non seulement a la fidelite a l’archetype, mais aussi aux pratiques anciennes et actuelles auxquelles l’archetype a donne lieu. | After having distinguished the status and the use of the (religious) image in Oriental and the Occidental Christendom, Anca Manolescu studies two cases of the miraculous Virgins in Transylvania (in the monasteries of Moisei and Nicula). This allows her to propose an interpretation of the complex economy of the icon, linked not only to the fidelity to the archetype, but also to older and more recent practices born in connection with the archetype.
