Application of cone penetration test (CPT) results for soil classification

Abstract

The paper presents an application of CPT results for soil classification according to Unified Soil Classification System (USCS) and European Soil Classification System (ESCS) by using computer program KLASIF. The correlations between the CPT results and the parameters for soil classifications are shown. The relatively good success in soil classification using CPT results on the example of irrigation canal in Biđ bosut field is presented.
